Soliloquy 03:46
Velcro ripping You and I alike Getting lost All while on a hike You say I'm always in your way Well maybe sometimes your way is in me The weather seems to emulate All the feelings in your soliloquy All this interplay is so played out, kapeesh? And a bridge is just a dock If there's no land to reach (on the other side) And everything that you do It causes something to move There's momentum in your everything The universe is a room Planets are furniture too And the stars are held by strings Can you hear that sound? (Velcro ripping) It gives me chills, you see? (You and I alike) Can we get back to the town (Getting lost) across that hill? (All while on a hike) And in this time I feel alright But I might try and feign a smile Well some be cruel and some be kind But it's all part of our design And in this time I feel alright

Chacu Chacu 04:12
A Sunday night like many other nights Until the on ramp threw us in the sky A heart attack, we were all in the Cadillac With only death to defy At least we had our seat belts Last thing I thought to myself was, “Sometimes we take the ground for granted.” A drink’ll skew I think a few of your senses And make you see the road all slanted One loud crash and we’re laughin’ But it wasn’t enough for us You could call what’d happened One cold shower Was it fate or was it up to us? Well it’s not for us to know Sleep it off like it’s nothing Still hammered head to toe We saw Count Dracula Immaculately lit on television Sometimes we pay electric bills More often than we really pay attention We had several billion things to say And only settled on some of them There was a glass of wine You wouldn’t stop pouring ‘Til I said “when” Now the room’s filling up with My merlot and it looks like That one scene from the Shining And I’m feeling Ambivalent to the drink and drown It just might be time to go Now here we are in a vacuum And everything Is packed away, finally gettin’ just A little space. Your head’s a house And I slipped down the staircase We agree, nothing really matters Anyone can see And the galaxy is V-A-S-T A-N-D-T-I-N-Y The next pay-per-view boxing match Needs to be Everything vs. Nothing And leading up to the match they’ll talk trash And try to catch each other bluffing The winner takes the purse and Some will curse all up and down about How it should’ve gone There’s a frisson in the air And it’s due to what’s goin’ on Dazzled spectators clamored And the audience rushed out What was really the answer? All is hush now An open field seeing all we are Sunlit from below Took some time organizing Everything Packed away finally gettin’ just A little space. Your head’s a house And I slipped down the staircase We agree, nothing really matters Anyone can see And the galaxy is V-A-S-T A-N-D-T-I-N-Y Always

Devices 04:29
It’s a Monday and it’s bright out I told myself I was through being a night owl But who’m I trying to kid? There’s this yard sale we should check out And if it’s not any good we’ll get the heck out But over here, look at this It’s pure bliss Haddaway couldn’t say what love is It’s harder to explain when it’s not your kin We could get together, I really wanna buy it But left my cash at home So put the feelings back in the bargain bin It’s a luxury a night out I wanna rip out a page or get the white-out I mentioned Nietzsche again Nietzsche again But it’s fine I’m taking time out So maybe pull up a chair and get the wine out And then we started to kiss What’s this? Basically what we are’s complicated Rev each other up and then let us go Even destiny’s got to give herself a break For what she doesn’t know Unto our own devices we’re left alone

If we stand before the light We get replenished Everyday and every night It’s never finished If you’re wrong or if you’re right We’re still deluded There’s no referee in sight It’s been excluded Hit a ball across a court You’ll be the racket Send it long or send it short It’s all how you smack it Call it “zilch” or call it “nought” Like love in tennis If you pilfer what we got You’re in our business We see the line. We see the net And over time we do forget You think you’re sly. The game is set (We want to believe that) We’ve seen the sides. We know to let The money fly. We place a bet We trust our eyes and then regret I might be dreamin’ but from where I stand I’ve got these feelin’s and they cannot be canned Then we laugh until we cry And we are each other We just live a separate life From one another Now it’s time to break the tie And we get together Long enough to roll our eyes And cut the tether

We go and push our own buttons That’s how we know the work gets done If we get close to each other We eliminate our right to run Then we go wait our own tables Passing the buck to where it’s from We’ve found a fun way to suffer Spend all our cash until it’s gone Now we have packed all our luggage Stand by the curb. Stick out your thumb No taxi cabs will be comin’ Head back to the bar, the day is done We will never ever see How anyone could disagree. We’re not done We could still offer another Reason for you to say “I can finally breathe. I’m feelin’ I’m an easy Target any time or season, rhyme or reason If ATM’s dispensed our feelings I could really afford it all No kept receipts or fake money My downfall is my fault”

Art History 03:46
You’ll want to go this or that way See the lighting but not the shade Contradicting everything you say From here on out you scribble your fate The sketchbook is a calendar page And what you draw is every single day The months will add depth and dimension It’s art history, so pay attention Now rough it up and smooth it out What’s this one about? A whisper and a shout All this time Dark and light To live and die Some people go to extreme lengths To be blue when they don’t know they’re pink There’s a color to your everything All this contour. See it on display And you claim that you don’t see the shape It isn’t free but you don’t have to pay We’re harkening back to a style No one has seen in quite a while We’ve made it ours. We’ve spent the time Like wind to a chime Leaving to arrive All this time Dark and light To live and die

Kismet 02:58
I found a way And I don’t wanna leave but I don’t wanna stay I found a reason today To be leaving whenever arriving Kismet It’s fate. Or do we call our own plays? See now, I’ll say Every June to every May Will I still be around for several? Every year that I think I might exist Well it might be, you know it might be true But I won’t wanna live forever Every time that I think I won’t I do What I might do Another day Well I don’t wanna steal and I don’t wanna pay Another quandary to face. Should I go with the milk or the OJ? Sometimes we blaze New trails all the old ways Delight or dismay The question still remains Will I still be around for several? Every year that I think I might exist Well it might be, you know it might be true But I won’t wanna live forever Everytime that I think I won’t I do What I might do
